Peach And Honey Facial Mask DIY

About The Peach And Honey Facial Mask

When you want to pamper dry or sensitive skin one great ingredient to use is raw honey. It is rich in protective antioxidants for skin, and seals in moisture to keep your skin hydrated.  Ancient physicians treasured honey for it's healing ability - so do many today.

Create An Oasis

  • Slice cucumbers, place in a bowl of water and store in the refrigerator for at least an hour or two.
  • Prepare your bed by layering a few towels down to lay on.
  • You should wear a thick terry robe, ideally, or wrap yourself in a large bath towel.
  • Light candles and put in a meditation CD or a sounds of nature CD or use your favorite app and search for either one.

Next Prepare Your Peach And Honey Facial Mixture

To make the peach and honey facial mask you will need -
2 Tablespoon olive oil
6 tablespoons peach puree - simply slice ripe peaches, leaving skin on, and place in a food processor or blender.  Set to puree.  You may add a bit of water if needed to process.
3 Tablespoons honey – bought from a local beekeeper is best
3 Tablespoons cornstarch
1/2 teaspoon rose water (if it also contains glycerin that's fine)

Combine all ingredients in a ceramic or glass bowl.  You may adjust amount of cornstarch and rose water to make a thick consistency that is not too prone to running.  Cover until ready to use.

Begin Your Facial

Prep your skin by cleansing your face, neck and decollete thoroughly with my Honey Chunk Soap.  I make my soap in small batches, using a generous amount of raw honey harvested from our own hives.

Next, use your favorite facial scrub on all three of those same areas, working it in gently for a full minute. If you don’t have a commercial facial scrub on hand, you can easily make one by mixing a handful of granulated sugar together with an equal amount of cold cream or olive oil. Rinse thoroughly.
Now apply a comfortably hot towel to those same areas and leave it on until it cools. Pat dry, but leave skin a little moist.

Apply the mask to your clean face, neck and decollete.
Leave on for 30 minutes. Rinse with warm water and gently pat your skin dry.  Note how smooth and refreshed your skin feels!

Finishing Your Peach And Honey Facial Mask Treatment

Be sure you’ve removed all traces of your facial mask from your skin. Then  as your last step, apply toner, serum and moisturizer that are formulated for your skin type.

Include this in your regular routine once per week - more if you like.
