     My Marriage To Roger  Wow!  36 years!  They do fly by, and yet, as I always say, if you look back you see such an enormous difference between then and now.  So, in that way, it does seem like a very long time.  Love That Lasts  It doesn't happen all by itself.  No, it's not like the rom-com or rom-dram, but sometimes it's a lot like both.   I find that I need to remember that I love him.  Even when we disagree and even when things around us are not going our way.   Breathe  Yes, that's probably the biggest key right there.  You need to breathe.  Count to 10 like your grandma told you or do whatever you think is best.  Walk away briefly.  Go do something.  A nice, long, bath with candles and all of it can really help too.   Most Of All This  Keep the faith.  Believe in each other.  And I did say "each other" which automatically includes y-o-u!     For Chicks Over 40  This suit is so nice!  The fabric is surprisingly thick, for such a low priced item anyway, and, the fit is as the seller described.  Which is not always the case!  Chicks over 40 can be very demanding.  Picky.  I should know because I'm one of them!   Black Floral  It's a very nice color.  The floral belt on the bottom is a nice touch.  It balances out the suit, so that the eye is not really drawn up or down - it's centered which is what is most desirable.   Summer 2023 Is Here  It's a beautiful time of year!  You'll hear me say that about every season because I frankly love them all.  Even here in Florida, we do have a change of seasons.  Not as drastic a change as Northern states, no, but, we do see changes.   Right now, the temps are going up, along with the humidity, but, I don't mind.  I've always liked the weather a bit swampy.  Hey, I'm a Jer...

     Slow Cooker  Really, how did we ever live without them?  I know that back in the old days there were pressure cookers - but they were not quite as safe to use as they are now!  So us home cooks have it a lot easier than they did in the past, that's for sure.   Using Frozen Meatballs  Yup.  I did just that.  And why not? They're delicious and not overly loaded with fat and sodium.  No, prepared foods are not something I'd eat every day.  But.  Once or twice per month does not hurt me at all.    Retro Swim  Is really the thing now.  Well, it is if I have anything to say about it!   I love the Mad Men or Mrs. Maisel style.  They weren't afraid of fabric.  Or color.  And God Knows, they accessorized like a lady should!   This collection is definitely following that early 60s style.  I think that that's the best.  Later in the 60s there was more fringe, skimpier swim wear, and I just never really thought it was an improvement on what women like Audrey Hepburn, Marilyn Monroe, Annette Funicello and Brigette Bardot (among many others) wore.   Four Swimsuits  Two of them are full bottom suits.  True two piece styling.  Two of them feature swim shorts with a halter style top.  I never thought I'd like swim shorts.  I thought they made a girl look "dumpy".  But that was before I tried them on!  Now?  I love them and will keep them in my (rather vast) assortment of swim ...
