Garlic Can Be A Girl's Best Friend
This is one food flavoring that's got a huge list of reasons why you should include it in your diet as much as you possibly can.
For centuries, people have used garlic to fight infections and boost their immune systems, and those may be two great reasons, but they're not the only ones by any means. Garlic has cancer-fighting, heart disease-fighting and blood pressure-lowering properties due to a naturally occuring substance it contains, called, “allicin”. And the only thing you have to do to activate the allicin, is crush the garlic.
How Much Is Enough?
A fresh clove of garlic contains between 2500 and 4500 mcg. of allicin, depending on the size of the clove, which is enough to have a positive effect on your body.
How Does It Help?

Getting more oxygen to your body via circulation is the heart’s primary purpose, and when this is increased, you’ll see a difference in how you feel and look. Spicy Cucumber Salad Recipe
Ingredients
1 medium cucumber, chopped
1 (8.75 ounce) can no salt added whole kernel corn, drained
1 (16 ounce) can low-sodium stewed tomatoes, drained and sliced
1 green bell pepper, chopped
1 red bell pepper, chopped
2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
1 tablespoon crushed red pepper flakes
1 clove of garlic, minced
1/2 teaspoon cumin
1/4 teaspoon dried cilantro
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
Fresh cilantro for garnish
Directions
In a large bowl, toss together the cucumber, corn, tomatoes, green bell pepper, red bell pepper, and red wine vinegar. Season with crushed red pepper flakes, garlic, cumin, cilantro, salt, and black pepper.
Cover, and chill at least 30 minutes before serving. Add chopped cilantro for a garnish.
