- Almonds and walnuts
- Beans
- Spinach and other green vegetables
- Dairy, low-fat varieties, such as yogurt
- Oatmeal
- Eggs, or egg whites
- Turkey and other lean meats
- Extra Virgin Olive oil
- Whole grains
- Extra protein for snacks, such as slices of reduced fat cheese
- Blueberries, raspberries and other berries
- Salmon - this is one food you need to eat two to three times per week.
Building your menus around these powerfully beneficial foods, your body will be fueled with good carbs, protein, fiber, and healthy fats. Be sure to pay special attention to protein, because that is what builds the lean muscle mass that speeds up the fat burning process.
