Why Use Honey In Soap Making?

Lots of reasons.

Chiefly, raw honey, especially when harvested from one's own beehive (such as we do), has a long history of both health and beauty benefits.
Not the least of which is that honey acts as kind of seal on your skin.  You don't see it but it's there.  Honey helps the other important ingredients such as essential oils, vitamin E, and castor oil, stay on the skin and therefore have more time to absorb in - which is an amazing benefit.

Yes, you can feel the difference.

In the past 5 years, I have perfected my methods and tweaked my soap variety formulas so that my bars have a smooth surface that does not crack, and my liquid soaps feel like velvet.

More about honey in soap making.

Most companies, honestly the vast majority of them, use only a fraction of the amount of honey in their soaps that I use.  In fact, using certain methods of soap making, there is a definite limit to how much honey can be used without ruining the batch.
In my case, I have my method down to a science.  I add 3 to 5 times the amount of raw honey to my soaps and they turn out beautifully!
