4 Uses For My Bar Soap That May Surprise You
Many Uses For My Bar Soap
The Humble Bar Soap Has Lots Of Uses
Besides providing gentle, thorough cleansing and nourishing the skin with our raw honey, my bar soap can be used in a wide variety of ways.
For many centuries, bar soap has been a staple for both beauty, household, sewing and gardening uses. Below I'll list just 4 of them, however, if you do your homework, you'll find that there are dozens more uses that may be exactly what you need:
- SHAVING. Using bar soap for shaving is a very old, and very effective, practice. I myself have given up entirely on buying shaving cream of any kind and instead opt for using soap (my handcrafted soap that is) to make a smooth, foamy cream. This works very well. I have not had any problems with dry skin, rashes, razor burn, or any other irritations. I highly recommend it. Note that my soap can be used on faces as well as body areas. Other brands of bar soaps may not be suitable for this.
- DRAWERS AND LUGGAGE. Keep an unwrapped bar of one of my scented soaps in a drawer, or in your luggage, to keep it smelling fresh and clean. If you have a large drawer, or large piece of luggage, two or more bars is recommended. I especially recommend my scented soaps as they have a higher concentration of fragrance. Again, other brands may not be as useful here.
- KEEP NAILS CLEAN. Take one of my bar soaps and gently rub it under your nails before doing any gardening, housecleaning, Spring or Fall cleaning or tackling that mess in the corner of your garage. This will keep dirt and debris from getting under your nails, and while keeping them clean, also helps prevent injury from splinters and paper cuts. If you're working for more than an hour or so, I'd suggest you reply my soap.
- SEWING MADE EASIER. Tackling a tougher or thicker fabric? Try sticking your sewing needle into a bar of my soap before you begin. This should help the needle glide through that strong fabric much easier. This will also help prevent any pulls or tears in that fabric.
